    • Mineola Nature Preserve- Amphitheater

     The Mineola Nature Preserve with The Astronomical Society of East Texas will be having a STAR GAZING at the Mineola Nature Preserve on Friday, October 20th . This is a free program and everyone is invited.  The activity begins about 9 PM so you can see where we will be and will end about 11PM.  The location will be at the Amphitheater next to the Pavilion . The program is a group exercise in identifying objects in the night sky that can be seen with binoculars or the naked eye (Naked Eye Astronomy).      Dance Dimensions will be hosting a fun run on Iron Horse day! It will be on Saturday, October 28th at the Mineola Nature Preserve. On-site registration begins at 8:30am.      The Mineola Chamber of Commerce is hosting Trunk or Treat this year on Halloween night from 5:30pm-8:30pm in downtown Mineola and Commerce Street. It is open and free to join for all organizations, businesses, and individuals.

    Pedal for Paws bike ride will take place at 9:00am Saturday November, 4th. The start/finish line will take place at the Mineola Nature Preserve. You can go online to get registered at active.com.

    Check in at the Mineola Nature Preserve Saturday 7:00am-9:00am

    Advanced registration is $30 per rider until October 21st.        Registration October 22nd and after will be $40 per rider.

    Routes are: 20,30,40,55 and 65 miles. Rest stops every 8 to 12 miles.

The Venues on Sycamore will be filled with vendors to shop with just in time for last minute Christmas shopping!
